HIV and LGBT activist, Managing Editor at TheBody.com and board member of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ)

JD Davids is the Managing Editor of TheBody.com, the web's largest resource on HIV.

A longtime LGBT and HIV activist, JD worked on pivotal efforts to arm a HIV treatment educators and activists living with HIV, slash the global price of HIV treatment, expand syringe access, win a national HIV strategy for the United States, mitigate the harm of Medicaid managed care and confront the crisis in prison medical care.

Along the way, JD was a member of ACT UP Philadelphia, co-founder of Project TEACH at Philadelphia FIGHT, community organizer at Health GAP and Director of Mobilization at AIDS Foundation of Chicago. JD founded Community HIV/AIDS Mobilization Project (CHAMP) and the HIV Prevention Justice Alliance (HIV PJA).

Now living in Brooklyn, NY, JD parents a kid, serves on the board of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ) and is a devoted ally of the Positive Women’s Network of the USA.
