Jeanette N. Keith, M.D. is a gastroenterologist from Birmingham, AL who has specialized training in Clinical Nutrition. Her practice focus includes colon cancer screening, GI disorders that affect obese patients, medical weight management, GI or nutritional concerns of the bariatric patient and general gastroenterology. Research interests include understanding and managing lactose intolerance as well as the management of GI/nutritional complications of bariatric surgery.

She earned her degree in Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She subsequently trained in general Internal Medicine at Indiana University Medical Center. She then completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Missouri-Columbia followed by a three-year NIH-supported fellowship in Clinical Nutrition at the University of California-Davis. She is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN).
