Jeff Mikulina

CEO of Blue Planet Foundation

Jeff Mikulina is the Chief Executive Officer of the Blue Planet Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission to clear the path for clean energy. Blue Planet inspires leaders to change the rules and accelerate cost-effective, secure, renewable energy; communities to adopt smart, replicable energy solutions; and everyone to believe in the power and possibility of a future beyond fossil fuels. Prior to working with Blue Planet, Jeff served as director of the largest environmental organization in Hawai‘i, the Sierra Club, for a decade. Jeff’s accomplishments in policy advocacy include working to pass legislation that sets a binding limit on Hawaii’s greenhouse gas emissions, requires that all new homes use solar water heaters, requires returnable deposits on all beverage containers, provides incentives for renewable energy use, establishes curbside recycling, and increases the funding of natural resources through tourism taxes. Jeff received a Master’s of Science degree in engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying decision theory.
