Forty year survivor, blogging at www.TBIsurvivor.com. Keynote speaker and author of "Learning How to Live with Yourself after Brain Injury".

I am a 42 year survivor of a traumatic brain injury, and have volunteered in the brain injury community since 1982. I was active at the time of the formation of the National Head Injury Foundation when I was asked to do peer counseling, and then served on the founding Board of Directors of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Head Injury Foundation. I also gave the survivor keynote speech at the first State conference in Massachusetts. Through the years I have facilitated support groups, spoken to groups and written the book on brain injury, called "Learning to Live with Yourself after Brain Injury.” Currently, I am a contributor to the HuffingtonPost, a contributor to TBI Hope and Inspiration magazine, and have written for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. My website is TBIsurvivor.com, where I maintain a blog to support other survivors.
