Josh Lefkowitz won an Avery Hopwood Award for Poetry at the University of Michigan, was a finalist for the Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize, and won First Prize in the Singapore Poetry Contest. His poems and essays have been published at The Awl, Barrelhouse, The Offing, The Rumpus, Shooter Literary Magazine (UK), Southword Journal (Ireland) and many other places. He has also recorded pieces for NPR's "All Things Considered" and BBC's "Americana." His long poem "Saturday Salutation" was published in textbook this Fall by Broadview Press alongside work by Whitman, Plath, Carver, Hemingway, and other literary luminaries.
