Jennie Livingston

Jennie Livingston is a filmmaker based in NYC. Her work includes Through the Ice, Hotheads, and the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning Paris Is Burning, which, in August, Current TV featured in its series 50 Documentaries to See Before You're Dead. This summer, Livingston directed a video for Elton John's stage show, currently playing in Las Vegas. Her most recent film, Who's the Top?, is a sex comedy starring Marin Hinkle (Two and a Half Men), Brigitte Bako, Steve Buscemi and 24 dancers. The Los Angeles Times called Top? "witty and accomplished," and it's played on every continent, including theatrical runs at London's ICA and Boston's MFA. She's currently directing Earth Camp One, a film memoir about grief, loss, and a hippie summer camp in the 1970s.
