Jennifer Koons

Political Journalist

Jennifer Koons is a Washington, D.C.-based political journalist writing about foreign policy and legal issues. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, GlobalPost, the San Diego Union Tribune and Inside Mexico among other publications.

She teaches journalism at Georgetown University. Previously, she reported from the Middle East and taught college journalism at Northwestern University's campus in Doha, Qatar.

She earned a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, a master’s degree in law from the Northwestern University School of Law and was the McCormick Journalism Fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
