Jim Doti

President, Chapman University

James L. Doti, Ph.D., has been president of Chapman University in Southern California since 1991, and holds the university’s Donald Bren Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics.

He joined Chapman’s economics faculty in 1974, and founded the A. Gary Anderson Center for Economic Research, which has become nationally recognized for its annual Economic Forecasts and other findings. Dr. Doti’s articles have appeared in many academic journals. He has also penned two children’s books, has run 30 marathons (including six Boston Marathons), has climbed four of the famed Seven Summits --- and has written extensively about his many adventures.
