Joao Hwang served as a U.S. Army Counterintelligence Agent from August
2000-November 2006, where he served in the Republic of Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Currently he is an adjunct lecturer at the City College of New York and a master's student at the New School in International Affairs. He is also a spokesperson for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.
