John Thomas

Headmaster, Flint Hill School

Since 2005, John Thomas has served as Headmaster of Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia. He is a graduate of the McDonogh School in Baltimore, Md., and holds degrees from Randolph Macon College and Towson University, with a certificate in school psychology from the State of Maryland. Before his tenure at Flint Hill, Thomas worked in three independent schools, two in Texas and one in Colorado. He is co-author of Psychodiagnostic Evaluation of Children: A Casebook Approach and has had two articles published in the book Parenting Teens: Collected Essays by Independent School Educators published by the Secondary School Admission Test Board. He and his wife have three grown boys and four grandchildren.
