Jomaira Salas Pujols is a sociology Ph.D. student and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program fellow. She studies race, education and student resistance. Her current project analyzes how Afro-Latina girls between the ages of 15 and 23 deploy and negotiate Blackness in educational spaces.
