Jonathan Kaplan

A Senior Policy Specialist in the health program for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Jonathan Kaplan works to advance more sustainable food and agriculture systems. Current initiatives include developing a rubric of metrics, standards and tools to recognize and promote more sustainable practices from farm to fork. Jonathan also oversees NRDC’s annual Growing Green Awards, which recognize farmers, food producers, and businesses across the country that are transforming the future of how and what we eat. Jonathan lives in San Francisco with his family, and blogs on NRDC’s Switchboard.
