President and founder, Gideon’s Promise
Jonathan Rapping is the president and founder of the Gideon’s Promise, formerly the Southern Public Defender Training Center, and is an Associate Professor at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. Gideon’s Promise is featured in a new HBO/Ford JustFilms documentary about America’s public defender system called Gideon’s Army. The film won top honors at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
