Local Organizer, NYC Anti-Violence Project
Joyce Choi Li is the Local Organizer at the NYC Anti-Violence Project. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she has worked around issues of community access and urban justice at Queers for Economic Justice, the Fortune Society, Picture the Homeless and the Applied Research Center. Joyce is a Hampshire College graduate, where she wrote a thesis examining the forces of gentrification and tourism in NYC immigrant communities and the wider national cultural consumption of bodies of color.
