Joyce Johnson is a committed civil and women's rights advocate currently running for Congress to represent New York's 13th Congressional District. After nearly two decades of working to expand equal employment opportunities for women and people of color in the private sector, Johnson became Director of Community Relations for the New York City Comptroller's Office where she worked with more than 400 diverse communities across the city. In 2008 she was appointed Field Director by Obama for America, for which she drove state-wide voter mobilization efforts that helped get President Obama elected. Johnson first ran for Congressional office in 2010, during which she received highly sought-after endorsements from The New York Times and Women's Campaign Forum.
