Judith Lewis

Judith Lewis was one of the judges for the inaugural UK Search Awards and is the coordinator for London Girl Geek Dinners. She is a specialist online marketer with skills in SEO, PPC, social media marketing as well as other digital marketing techniques. Her clients include Google, Amadeus, & Mimecast.

Passionate about chocolate, Judith has been judging the Academy of Chocolate Awards and the International Chocolate Awards for a number of years. Specialising mainly in chocolate, Judith also blogs about coffee, tea, spirits, wine and desserts - of course mainly relating to chocolate. Judith has been involved in and learning about chocolate since 2001 but has only been formally blogging about it since 2009.

Besides chocolate, Judith is passionate about technology and volunteers with London Girl Geek Dinners. London Girl Geek Dinners works to inspire women to get in to, and stay in, computing and all geeky pursuits. After all to be geeky is to be intelligent, have passion for a subject and to know that subject in depth. It’s not at all about being better than others, or about gender, race, religion or anything else. The long term vision of these events is to bring Geek (or if necessary Girl Geek) Dinners into schools, colleges and universities around the world to encourage people to embrace their passion for something like technology and to explore what they can do with it.

Judith comes from a very technical background, having gotten online in Toronto, Canada in 1986. She has been working in search and online marketing since 1996. Prior to joining Beyond in April 2010, Judith worked at i-level after working in-house across a variety of sectors including retail/eCommerce, high-tech and publishing.

Judith is a founding Modern Muse, writes regularly for SEO Chicks, Centaur’s “Technology Weekly”, and Mostly About Chocolate. She speaks at various conferences and is up for a “Female Social Media Guru” award. She has been volunteering her time to run London Girl Geek Dinners since 2009.
