Julie J. Park, Ph.D. is an assistant professor of education at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is interested in how race, religion, and social class affect diversity and equity in higher education, including the diverse experiences of Asian American college students. Her research has been inspired by experiences including eating in LAโ€™s Koreatown, teaching 7th grade summer school, and attending church with Usher.

Her book When Diversity Drops: Race, Religion, and Affirmative Action in Higher Education (Rutgers University Press, 2013) explores how drops in racial diversity affect everyday campus life. More about her work is featured at her website.
