Justin Flowers, former St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital patient

Justin Flowers is a young adult with sickle cell disease, an inherited disorder that affects the red blood cells. This former St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital patient made a successful transition from pediatric to adult care and is dedicated to helping others do the same. While most children with sickle cell disease live to adulthood, survival rates decline as they age. Justin is a patient coordinator with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee and returns to St. Jude to speak to current patients about the importance of lifelong care. He is a student at the University of Memphis.
