TLW represents what Nuri calls the new paradigm for community development: keeping people connected with the land, which promotes self-dependence, self-sufficiency, and food security. Around Truly Living Well, property values are up, and crime is down. On its farm sites, TLW employs 25 workers, produces 35,000 pounds of produce yearly, trains urban agricultural entrepreneurs and conducts summer camps for youth. Produce is distributed through its CSA Program, at year-round on-farm markets, and sales to top-rated restaurants.
