Co-Director of Cooperation Jackson

Kali Akuno is currently Co-Director of Cooperation Jackson (www.CooperationJackson.org). Kali is also currently directing a documentary project called "the Myth of a Post-Racial America", being produced by Deep Dish TV and the Nubia Lumumba Arts and Culture Cooperative of Cooperation Jackson (see http://www.deepdishtv.org/projects/7). Kali served as the Director of Special Projects and External Funding for the late Mayor Chokwe Lumumba. He is a member of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement and author of the Jackson-Kush Plan, Let Your Motto Be Resistance, and the preface of Operation Ghetto Storm. He is also a co-founder of the Jackson Human Rights Institute which is making Jackson a Human Rights City by creating a Human Rights Charter and Commission for the City.
