Karina M. Gutierrez is a Publicist at República, a cross-cultural agency with a proven track record of creating fresh, dynamic communications that engage and connect across language and culture. Previously, she was an Account Executive with epgPR, a full service public relations & marketing firm based in Washington, DC. Karina has also worked at the Meridian International Center where she focused on the development and implementation of cross-cultural, international programs including the State Department’s Young African Leaders Initiative and the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program, a program funded by the US Embassy in Baghdad. She also helped plan and produce the first ever Service Innovation Summit held in Madrid, Spain in collaboration with the State Department and US Embassy in Spain. Karina holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in International Relations, both from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Ms. Gutierrez is a former resident of Mexico, Canada, and Australia, is fluent in English and Spanish, and has been named by Washington Life Magazine as one of the city’s most influential citizens under 40.
