Kate Braestrup is the chaplain for the Maine Warden Service and the author of two other works of non-fiction, Here If You Need Me and Beginner’s Grace, and the novel Onion. She has written for the New York Times Magazine; the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine; O, The Oprah Magazine; Mademoiselle; More; and Ms. She lives in Maine with her husband and children. Her memoir Marriage and Other Acts of Charity is now out in paperback.
