Trisha Kehaulani Watson, JD, PhD holds a Doctor of Philosophy in American studies, a juris doctor with an environmental law certificate, a Masters of Arts in American studies, and a B.A. in both American studies and sociology. She was adjunct faculty for the Hawai‘i Pacific University from 2014-2015, a lecturer for the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa from 2005-2008 and a lecturer at the University of Hawai‘i Outreach College from 2005-2007. Dr. Watson is the owner and president of Honua Consulting which manages Federal, State and City contracts and is certified as an under-utilized disadvantaged business enterprise and a permitted archaeological consulting company. She provides facilitation, outreach and consultation on community input, research services, educational services, environmental and cultural assessments and historic preservation compliance. Dr. Watson oversees resource management on large-scale initiatives and advises on community engagement for complex and sensitive projects. Dr. Watson is a prolific author, guest lecturer and interviewee. She focuses on subjects such as economic and social policy, cultural landscapes, and environmental issues.
