Lane Wesley Burt is an energy policy analyst in NRDC's Washington, D.C. office. His work is focused on achieving greater energy efficiency in buildings and equipment. He is an advocate for efficiency in legislative and regulatory building policy at the federal level and leads the federal appliance standard work with the Department of Energy. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and previously worked producing energy models for high performance commercial buildings. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor's degree in the same from North Carolina State University. He blogs on NRDC's Switchboard.
