Laura E. Scott

Laura E. Scott has been the Executive Director of Families Fighting Flu since August 2009. Prior to that position, she led all public relations and strategic communications activities for the organization since its founding in 2004.

Working with a dedicated volunteer board, Laura has helped the organization grow from several dedicated families to a sustainable, mission-specific, professionally-run organization with an active board of directors and medical advisory board, in addition to thousands of advocates across the U.S. all supporting the mission and goals of the organization. She has become a tireless advocate and public speaker for families who have suffered the devastating loss of a child due to influenza, and is passionate about increasing awareness and educating others about the seriousness of the disease and the importance of annual vaccination.
