Laura Rogers

Laura Rogers serves as the Deputy Director of the Antibiotic Resistance Action Center (ARAC). She manages day-to-day activities, the center’s budget and, in partnership with the Center’s team, sets the strategic priorities for the center. Prior to joining ARAC, Laura was the director of the Antibiotic Resistance Project at The Pew Charitable Trusts, which sought to end the overuse and misuse of antibiotics in humans and animals. Before Pew she served as a Vice President at the Communications Consortium Media Center where she worked on a host of projects including improving global rights for women and girls, ensuring access to contraception and sex education for women and girls in the United States, ensuring parents understand the signs of learning disabilities in their children and other educational projects. Laura also served as Director of Communications for the United Nations Foundation and, later, Director of the organization’s women and population work. Laura also worked for United Way organizations across the country including United Way of America, where she served by appointment on the organizing committee for the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay. Laura also was an editor for the Palm Beach Post in Florida. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a bachelor of science degree in journalism and a minor in sociology.
