Freelance writer

Liza Weisstuch is a freelance writer who suffers from terminal curiosity. She has found an effective treatment is to ask lots of questions and unearth the unnoticed and under-appreciated, so she made a career of it. She specializes in the spirits industry and cocktail and bar culture because she believes this is a direct way of understanding how people and societies perceive and understand themselves. She also writes about food, design, theater, music, business and marketing. She contributes to The Boston Globe, The Boston Phoenix, Fine Cooking and Imbibe Magazine and she’s an American correspondent for the UK-based Whisky Magazine. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, Boston Magazine and The Christian Science Monitor. She is editing the Boston Zagat Boston Restaurant Survey 2011/2012.
