Elizabeth Lazar's writing can be found at Huffington Post, Daily Beast, Slate, The New Internationalist, and a number of newspapers. Her work spans national and world politics, dating, terrorism, race, mothering, humor and tyranny. She serves as advisor to United Nations funded international human rights organization Art Works Projects, which uses photography to expose significant abuses such as genocide and human trafficking. She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College in New York and The University of Chicago. She lives in Chicago with her two sons.
