Global public health practitioner, teacher and writer focusing on social change and wellbeing.
Lori DiPrete Brown directs the 4W Women and Wellbeing Initiative at UW-Madison, home of a UNESCO Chair on Gender, Wellbeing and a Culture of Peace. 4W programs include women's health, microenterprise, local to global efforts to end human trafficking, empowerment of women in agriculture and more. As the Associate Director for Education at the Global Health Institute she has led the development of global learning opportunities across the educational spectrum. DiPrete Brown collaborates with global partners in health care and social service system strengthening for vulnerable populations around the word. She received a BA from Yale, and graduate degrees from Harvard in Public health and Divinity. Her novel, Caminata, is based on her Peace Corps service in Honduras. @LDiPreteBrown, @4WMadison.
