Sushant Naidu is a human rights advocate. In 2016, he lobbied permanent missions at the UN to safeguard the mandate of the Independent Expert on SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity). In addition to the US, he has worked on LGBTQI rights issues in India, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Hong Kong. He led sensitization trainings for the New Delhi Police officers on SOGI. In 2018, Sushant was named a Global Innovator by the Human Rights Campaign. His work has been featured in the International Policy Digest, the Journal of Diplomacy and International Relations and the Elephant Journal.
