I was born in New York City, and raised in Chicago, Montana, and Southern California. I received a BA in Economics from UCLA before UCLA required a 4.0 GPA to get in. I currently live in Los Angeles. I am married and have two teenage sons. I have had a few incarnations. My career started in merchandising at a large department store in LA. Then I became a programmer and systems designer for that department store. My husband and I moved to London for two years in the eighties, where I was a systems analyst for a large merchant bank.

I left the “work and get paid world” when my first son was born, never to return. Since then, I have been a full-time “Jackie-of-all-trades”. Besides the usual mom stuff, like driving, cooking, nagging, and finding “lost” things that are hidden in plain view, I took art classes, writing classes, and I even got my black belt in Shotokan Karate, (of course that took almost 7 years). I started blogging because I have a lot to say and nobody at home who wants to listen. I write about strange news stories, people I admire, people I’d rather not share oxygen with, and things that annoy me. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.
