Marian Schwartz has translated at least 70 volumes of Russian classic and contemporary fiction and nonfiction, including works by Mikhail Bulgakov, Nina Berberova, and Mikhail Shishkin. Her new translation of Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina has just come out with Yale University Press.
