Maricela Rodriguez joined The California Endowment, a private, statewide health foundation in California, in 2011 where she serves as a program manager for Healthy California. She leads the communications strategy for two major efforts under The Health Happens with Prevention campaign including Asegúrate and #Health4All. Under these two efforts, Maricela spearhead the development of a strong Spanish media Partnership with Univision, Telemundo 52 and impreMedia. Prior to joining the foundation, she served as the Director of Program Development and Policy Liaison at the Office of the First Lady of California, Maria Shriver. She assisted Ms. Shriver with her anti-poverty initiatives and helped develop the WE Connect program, which she continues to oversee at The California Endowment. Maricela grew up in the Central Valley and is now a resident of Sacramento. She earned a BA in Political Science and BA in Spanish Language from the University of California, Riverside and an MPA from the University of Southern California. She and her husband are raising their 2-year-old son, Joe.
