Mark Daniel Snyder is an advocate for the liberation of the oppressed who uses creative communications to ignite change. Mark identifies as genderqueer and uses they pronouns. They grew up in a house made from a barn deep in the woods on a mountain in rural Pennsylvania. A lifelong organizer and protester (They organized a protest against circuses as a young child.), Mark organized the largest ever demonstration against Focus on the Family and has engaged in countless direct actions. As a communications professional, Mark has worked with reporters across the globe to promote familiarity of gender nonconforming and transgender people and their families. Mark is proudly "secondgen" signifying that has a gay parent, his father, who came out of the closet in 2008.
