Freelance writer and activist; former National Organizer of the Responsible Endowments Coalition

Martin is a freelance writer and activist based in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. From 2010 to 2012 Martin served as the National Organizer of the Responsible Endowments Coalition (REC), an organization that encourages colleges and universities to invest their $400+ billion in alignment with their social and environmental values. He is on the Advisory Board of the Coalition of Universities for Responsible Investing, a forum for dialogue, collaborative action and education on socially and environmentally responsible investing among Canadian universities.

Martin graduated from Tufts University with a focus on political economy and English and a desire to do the right thing. He has worked with Citizens for Voter Choice in Massachusetts, the Global Development and Environment Institute at Tufts University, and at Americans for Democratic Action in Washington, D.C.
