Michael Cudlitz

Actor, "Southland"

Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, Michael Cudlitz graduated from the California Institute of the Arts Theatre program in Valencia Calif., and has established himself as a versatile and prolific character actor in both television and film. Although his first love is the stage, Cudlitz found early success working in front of the camera.

Cudlitz has appeared in more than 20 films, including A River Runs Through It, Grosse Point Blank and The Negotiator. A few of his notable television credits include roles on Standoff, Lost, Prison Break, Six Feet Under, Nip/Tuck, Over There, 24, all three CSI series and the Emmy-winning HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. Cudlitz also stars in the TNT Original movie Silent Witness, premiering in December 2011.

Cudlitz’s most recent film credits include the sci-fi thriller Surrogates, with Bruce Willis, and Tenure, a comedy with Luke Wilson. The Grief Tourist is Cudlitz’s first film as a producer.

Cudlitz currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and twin boys in the house that they built.
