Michael de Portu

Michael de Portu is the founder of Prism Group, a private mergers and acquisitions advisory boutique serving companies involved in flow control, test and measurement instrumentation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, medical devices, and fine chemicals. Prior to forming the firm, he worked with a group of former Bankers Trust colleagues in the New York office of Bankhaus B. Metzler seel. Sohn & Co. AG, a Frankfurt-based private bank. Prior to Metzler, he was a Principal at Bentley Associates L.P., working with a base of twenty five multi-national capital goods clients. Between 1985 and 1992, he held senior positions in the investment banking department of Bankers Trust/BT Securities, including responsibility for mergers and acquisition services in the automotive and automotive components sectors. He graduated from Columbia University with an MIA and holds an MA degree from the Sorbonne.
