Michael Reafsnyder was born in 1969 in Orange, California. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art at Chapman University in 1992 and his Master of Fine Arts degree at the Arts Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 1996.

He has had numerous exhibitions nationally and internationally. Recent solo exhibitions include “Gleam,” R.B. Stevenson Gallery, La Jolla, CA; “Delight,” Marty Walker Gallery, Dallas, TX; “Sweetness,” Rebecca Ibel Gallery, Columbus, OH; “Put it There: New Paintings & Ceramics,” Western Project, Culver City, CA; “Fresh,” W.C.C.A, Singapore; and “More: Paintings and Sculptures from 2002-2005,” Las Vegas Art Museum, Las Vegas, NV.

Recent group exhibitions include “Into the Light,” Barrick Museum, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, NV; “Los Angeles Museum of Ceramic Art,” ACME, Los Angeles, CA; “Forever Now: A Group Exhibition,” Peggy Phelps Gallery, Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, CA; “Just Enough,” R.B. Stevenson Gallery, La Jolla, CA; and “Keramik,” Pacific Design Center, Los Angeles, CA.

His work may be found in the permanent collections of the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, OH; Harvard University, Cambridge, MA; the Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Beach, CA; the Las Vegas Art Museum, Las Vegas, NV; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA; the Portland Art Museum, Portland, OR; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, CA, among others.
