President and CEO, Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce

Michael W. Rollins, CCE, became President and CEO of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce in 2002, after a successful career leading Chambers of Commerce in Nashville TN, Asheville NC, Columbia SC and Fredericksburg VA. Rollins was instrumental in the 2004 creation of Opportunity Austin (OA), a five-county economic development initiative aimed at fostering job-creating investment in Central Texas. Since OA’s inception, efforts have resulted in over 168,500 jobs added to the economy, and an $8.46 billion increase in greater Austin's total payroll. Rollins earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and management from the University of South Carolina and is a Certified Chamber Executive (CCE).
