Michelle Flowers Taylor
Michelle Flowers Taylor is a co-founding member of Black Women: State of the Union (BWSOTU), which is a California-based performing arts organization that represents and celebrates Black women as complex and resilient people. Through live theater and community events, BWSOTU demonstrates its dedication to encouraging and inspiring Black women and girls.
In addition to holding her art activism role with BWSOTU, Michelle is a doctoral candidate at Loyola Marymount University. She is currently conducting a narrative analysis of the language, literacy, and identity development practices of academically high-achieving African American women who are attending colleges and universities in the United States.
