Author, The Glass Cage: Automation and Us

Nicholas Carr is the author of the new book The Glass Cage: Automation and Us. His previous book, The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.

Carr is also the author of two other influential books, The Big Switch and Does IT Matter?, and has contributed to many publications, including The Atlantic, Wall Street Journal, Nature and Wired. He was formerly executive editor of the Harvard Business Review.
