Nikki Lowrey

Florida State Director, StudentsFirst

In July, Nikki Lowrey joined the staff of StudentsFirst to serve as Florida State Director. In her new role, Lowrey manages StudentsFirst's Florida operations, seeking to advance pro-reform measures that put the interest of students first.

Lowrey has 15 years of experience building relationships across Florida throughout the private sector, political arena, local, state and federal governments. Prior to joining StudentsFirst, Lowrey was the Florida State Director for Jon Huntsman for President. In 2005, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency in the state of Florida. Lowrey served as director of External Affairs for the Florida Department of Education in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, she served as director of External Affairs in the Office of then-Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Lowrey and her husband reside in Orlando, Florida with their two young daughters, ages 3 and 6 months.
