Nosheen Abbas
Pakistan based TV host
Nosheen Abbas is a multi media journalist in Pakistan who is currently a TV host for 'Click', a Science and Tech segment for BBC Urdu's program 'Sairbeen'. Previously, as a field reporter, she has made TV reports for BBC World TV and has written for BBC Online, Al-Jazeera, 'Dawn' newspaper and The Guardian.
Before joining BBC she worked as a Producer for CNN and with Dawn Group of newspapers as a writer and TV correspondent. Nosheen was the youngest columnist for Dawn when she wrote the column 'Youthink'. Her column focused on issues of the Pakistani youth.
Besides her work in the media, Nosheen has consulted for the United Nations, Plan international, World Population Foundation, and the Commonwealth Youth Programme on a number of youth development initiatives. She created Pakistan's first Framework Policy for Adolescents in Pakistan. This framework has been taken to the provincial level.
