Patricia Leigh Brown, a long-time writer for the New York Times, divides her time between the Bay area and New Haven, CT. She continues to write regularly for the Times from San Francisco. She is currently a contributor to California Watch, a project of the Center for Investigative Reporting in Berkeley, CA., where she focuses on overlooked immigrant communities throughout the state. In 2009-10 she was the recipient of a Loeb Fellowship at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She has been a visiting lecturer at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and a teaching fellow in non-fiction at the Wesleyan University Writers Conference. Patti’s work has appeared in numerous publications, including Architectural Digest and the New York Times Magazine.
