Patricia Vanderbilt

Senior, Whitman College

Patricia Vanderbilt is a senior at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She is an English major and spends most of her life working as Editor-in-Chief of Whitman’s newspaper, The Pioneer. Patricia spent a semester abroad in India, where she conducted a field research project on female feticide in Rajasthan. She also started her study of Hindi, a language she finds wonderful and playful and tremendously frustrating. For her senior thesis in creative writing, Patricia is currently writing a collection of short fiction stories about a man searching for Bigfoot and the wife he left behind.
