Rep. Diana DeGette

U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette is currently serving her ninth term in Congress, where she represents Colorado’s First Congressional District. A Chief-Deputy Whip in the Democratic Caucus, she has served on the powerful Committee on Energy and Commerce throughout her time in Congress, and was Vice-Chair of the Committee from 2007 through 2010 during the Democratic Majority. She is the Co-Chair of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus and is Congress’s leading proponent of federal funding for ethical embryonic stem cell research. She currently serves as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
