Rev. Marie Siroky is an ordained minister in the UCC and an Associate Minister at Trinity UCC, Gary, IN. A Proud Region Rat, former inner-city teacher in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Marie has worked in HIV/AIDS advocacy and Mental Illness Awareness for over 20 years.A former vowed religious sister, Marie self defines as having a "Catholic Spine" that is the root of her faith and fiercely protects religious freedoms of all faiths with respect and dialog. She currently serves as a Chaplain, and is past president of the Interfaith Coalition on Nondiscrimination.She and her wife have been together over 25 years, ending their 18 year engagement when they were married in Iowa in 2009.
