Musician, Old 97's

While maintaining his career with the Old 97’s, Miller has also released five solo albums. Mythologies, recorded during his junior year in high school in 1989, The Instigator (2002), The Believer (2006), Rhett Miller (2009) and, most recently, The Interpreter Live At Largo this year on his own Maximum Sunshine Records. While based in Dallas, Miller formed Old 97’s in 1993. With their effortless combination of rock, power-pop and country, the Old 97’s quickly became one of the most acclaimed and beloved bands to spring from the 90s indie rock scene. They have released nine critically acclaimed albums, most recently The Grand Theatre Volume One and The Grand Theatre Vol. 2 this year.
