Richard Guarasci

Dr. Richard Guarasci has served as president of Wagner College since June 2002. He arrived at Wagner in July 1997 when he took up the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, which he held for the five years prior to his selection as Wagner College’s 18th president. Since his tenure as president, Dr. Guarasci has authored a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program required of all Wagner students that links interdisciplinary course clusters with experiential learning and civic engagement.

Dr. Guarasci currently serves on three national civic engagement initiatives: Bringing Theory to Practice Initiative of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, The Anchor Institution Steering Committee and The National Task Force for Civic Engagement.
