Richard J. Valenta

Social commentator, technology manager, animal lover, actor, writer, traveler, blogger

Richard J. Valenta is a writer and consultant based in the midwest who writes about current social and political issues that face Americans. After completing a bachelor’s degree in Business and an MBA focused on finance, Richard began to split his time between Saint Louis and Chicago while he studied acting at The Second City and Piven Theater Workshop, and worked as a consultant in the IT management industry.

While studying acting, he was encouraged to find what made the character of people, and from that he started to watch and pay attention to the reality that faced each person in society, and balance that against the life which was his own. In his free time he traveled, and in that found the differences between various aspects of American society and those found abroad.

Today, Richard continues to work as a consultant, act, write, and travel whenever possible. He writes about issues which relate to relationships, public policy, technology, politics, and social observance. Having never married and having no children, he regularly spends time with his two teenage nieces and his nephew, as well as his parent’s in suburban Saint Louis.
